On a wintery morning...
Yesterday my wonderful friend Jacx came over and we worked on the olive oil lamp shade lanterns for my wedding! It was great fun and very productive! I will post pictures as soon as we have them finished :)

The Date
The date looks like it's gonna be July 3rd...I'm gonna go with that for now anyway...but I seem to be ready for the other boot to drop...waiting for someone else to say, "Nope sorry that you can't get married on that day either!" Crossing our fingers that won't happen.

DIY Green wedding
Ok so, we have decided to make this as green and as diy of a wedding as possible...Mostly to save money but also because we are deep lovers of nature and all things different :) So here are some of the ideas we came up with...
Lamp Shade Lanterns - super cool and you are able to find instructions at this link
http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/newsletter/10/january/night.php Scroll down until you find it :)
Also Belinda turned me on to the website Save on Crafts! this is a great site!!! They have lots of different and natural elements to incorporate in to diy wedding projects. W are thinking of using the Moss twine, muslin and lace to create table decorations for a faerie garden vintage feel.
Now what you ask is making our wedding green? Well lets list it here:
~We are borrowing all the tables
~Hay Bail Seating (these are like couches made of square bails of hay see picture) gettting the hey for free from our local rabbit and pig farmer then returning it to him to feed his animals
~reusing solar lights that have died for lanterns with tea lights
~ Creating the Lampshade lanterns from old re-purposed lampshades, mason jars, and olive oil
~re-purposing wine bottles to serve drinks
~growing all of the flowers that will be used...
that is all I can think of now...when more comes to me I will let you know! Getting excited!!! :)
Oh and here is the best news of all!!!!
My wonderful Step mother bought me my wedding dress!!!!! What an awesome gift!!!! It's beautiful! and I can't thank her enough! Maybe I'll post it here when I get it! Maybe.... ;) Thank you Suzanne!!!

Oh Jeezzz....
Well, it's been a rough year or so trying to plan this wedding...first Barak and I couldn't get on the same page, then when we did, we can't seem to get our family together on the same day! Lets recount the dates we were suppose to get married First there was June 19th, then May1st, then June 22nd, Now we are looking at July 3rd! I have to say I never ever thought I would be getting married on the fourth of July weekend! never! I suppose it doesn't matter...and I have country pride and all of that but, I don't know... I really liked the idea of a spring wedding...so fresh and new, full of possibility and new life. But I can't be to attached to any one date...really what matters is that we get married, and that we enjoy ourselves and that our most beloved family member are able to be there with us...to build memories, and have a great time celebrating love...right :) my new Mantra is, "It will all work out" Thanks to my prof for that reminder :) So I revised the save the dates and I'll post them here, soon...as soon as we pick a date that is, ha!!!
